Abstract:
Objective To explore the application of percutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation in the anesthesia of elderly orthopedic surgery.Methods A total of 253 elderly orthopedic surgery patients admitted to our hospital from June 2017 to June 2020 were selected and randomly divided into observation group (n=127) and control group (n=126).The control group was given general anesthesia, and the observation group was combined with percutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation on the basis of the control group. The average arterial pressure, heart rate, and BIS value of the two groups were compared.Results At T1 and T2, the MAP and HR levels of the two groups were lower than the T0 time point, and the MAP and HR levels of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05);At T3 and T4 time points, there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups of MAP and HR levels at the T0 time point (P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in the levels of MAP and HR between the two groups (P>0.05);At T1 and T2, the BIS level of the two groups was lower than the T0 time point, and the BIS level of the observation group was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05);At T3 time point, the BIS level of the two groups was lower than T0 time point,the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).However, the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant (P>0.05);At T4 time point, there was no statistically significant difference in BIS levels between the two groups and T0 time point (P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference between the two groups (P>0.05).Conclusion Transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulation has a good effect in anesthesia during orthopedic surgery for the elderly. It can effectively improve the patient’s hemodynamic fluctuations, reduce the body’s stress response, and reduce the level of BIS with high safety.
